The TSV Kappeln (officially: Turn- und Sportverein Kappeln von 1876 eV ) is a sports club from Kappeln in the Schleswig-Flensburg district . The first soccer team took part in the DFB Cup once.

history

The association was founded in 1876. In addition to football, the association also offers the departments of badminton , basketball , archery , unicycle , gymnastics , rehab / coronary sports , handball , hockey , athletics , cycling , sports against violence , table tennis , gymnastics , disabled sports and volleyball .

The Kappelner footballers had their first successful period in the mid-1950s. After a runner-up in 1953 behind Husum 18 , the Kappelner were champions a year later, but failed in the promotion round to the amateur league Schleswig-Holstein at FC Union Neumünster , Union-Teutonia Kiel and 1. FC Lola . In the following years, the team continued to play successfully in the now 2. Amateur League North called division. In 1997 the Kappelner relegated to the county league and from 2005 formed a game community with a club from the Kopperby community. Later, the footballers were together with those of the SV Kieholm and the MTV Gelting the football community Baltic coast .
