When it started broadcasting, an entertainment- oriented full program with news , information , talk and entertainment programs as well as purchased series and films was broadcast. owner

At the start of TV3, the company 50 per cent owned by the Tamedia AG ( Tages-Anzeiger ) and the American US - Luxembourg SBS Broadcasting Group (SBS).

history

TV3 went on air for the first time on September 6, 1999. In 2000 the broadcaster was accused of censoring Big Brother. As of 2001, the station received no more payments from the SBS Broadcasting Group and was taken over by Tamedia AG . On November 21, 2001, it announced the closure of the television station. TV3 was discontinued on December 22nd. The last broadcast was the feature film Titanic . The owner cited excessive debts of the company as the reason for the hiring. After the bankruptcy, it was speculated that the broadcasts would be taken over by SRF. In 2002 the TV studios were sold. On August 31, 2006, TV3 will be replaced by the new successor channel 3 Plus TV .
