history

TV Puls started in March 2001 on the basis of the religious broadcaster TV Niepokalanów. The production company was initially Telewizja Familijna SA

On April 1, 2003, TV Puls and its sister station TN2 stopped broadcasting their programs.

A short time later, TV Puls was taken over by Antena 1, whereby TV Puls came to the Polsat group. Broadcasting was resumed and the station switched from Astra to Hotbird.

TV Puls mainly broadcasts religious and informative programs and documentaries.

Since June 2006, the media group's News Corporation of Rupert Murdoch holds a 25% on the transmitter. In addition, Polsat sold another 40% of the shares to a Polish Franciscan order.

In January 2007 the license was changed from a special interest broadcaster with a religious-family program to a full program. In January the station increased the number of its employees to 40. According to its own information, the station plans to increase its workforce to 200 to 300 people and to invest further in the station. A self-produced news program (“Puls Raport”) is to start in October 2007 and in future the station will primarily include entertainment programs. In July 2008, the information department was closed and 118 employees were laid off.

TV Puls was concentrated on entertainment programs and series. In June 2010 the license was obtained to broadcast a channel for children and young people. This started on July 19, 2012 under the name Puls 2.
