New York City : Rajveer Singh is a NASCAR tire changer . When he kidnapped his friend Harry's taxi one day in the middle of rush hour traffic, two things changed his whole life: 1. He fell in love with Radhika Shekar Rai Banerjee, who accidentally rode in the back seat of the taxi. Since that unusual meeting he calls her Shona. 2. Rajveer is hired by Harry, now his manager, as a NASCAR driver for the Speeding Saddless team . For Rajveer, now better known as RV, things are going uphill. He wins every race in the USA and is the king of the circuit.
Some time later, Shona and Rajveer want to get married, but their rich father, Subho Shekar Roy Banerjee, opposes the marriage. The reason: Rajveer did not have any school education and therefore no qualification. He wants to make it clear to Radhika that you can't get away with fame and fortune alone in life. It is too risky to build a relationship only on something ephemeral. Despite this warning, Shona marries her boyfriend Rajveer. Shona does not finish school either and takes on the role of housewife. A few years later, they are the proud parents of two children, Princess and Champ.
During a race, RV is pushed aside by Rusty, a German racing driver. The car rolls over and RV is seriously injured. Rajveer is admitted to the hospital and treated there for a few months.
A year later, RV attempted a comeback in the racing scene. However, during the race, he experiences retraumatisation and loses. The comeback has failed and RV is thrown from the team. Harry, the manager, now has to work for Rusty, who was signed and who caused the accident at the time. Rusty is now No. 1.
But it gets worse. Since the family has no money and can no longer take out loans, they have to put their house and furnishings up for auction. Even Shona's wedding ring is being auctioned. They descend into poverty, telling their children that this is just a game for the reality show Don´t worry, be happy (which doesn't exist, however), where you can win a big prize in the end. And so they move to a poor settlement in the Bronx .
Both are looking for a job as a pianist and racing driver. Rajveer is also on the lookout for other jobs to at least halfway feed the family. Shona gets a job as a pianist in a restaurant. RV works in the pit stop.
One day Harry offers Rajveer a job as a taxi driver. Only after a long period of hesitation does he accept the job. During this argument the children realize that everything is not a game and that they really live in poverty. Princess and Champ start saving up all of their school lunch money.
Suddenly, Champ is doing badly after eating something from the trash that had a piece of glass in it. Medical treatment for removal of the broken glass from the stomach costs $ 65,000 as they have no insurance and all the costs are borne by the family. That's why RV asks his old team boss for money, but is only ridiculed by him. Harry finds out and leaves the Speeding Saddless team. He offers Rajveer to take part in a race under his management.
During the race, Rusty suffers the same accident that he caused at RV. With Rusty now out of the running, RV wins the race.

The broadcaster RTL II commissioned the dubbing studio Media Factory Berlin for the dubbing on the occasion of the German premiere on May 1, 2008 . The dialogue was directed by Pierre Peters-Arnolds based on the dialogue book he wrote in collaboration with Jörg Hartung. The Indian stars Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee , who played the main roles , received their regular speakers Philipp Moog and Tanja Geke again , following the principle of continuity .
