Saif Ali Khan ( Hindi सैफ़ अली ख़ान Saif Alī Kh ān ; born August 16, 1970 in New Delhi ) is an Indian actor and film producer .
Life
Khan's parents are actress Sharmila Tagore and cricketer Mansur Ali Khan , Nawab of Pataudi . Khan has two sisters, Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan . The latter is also an actress. He was married to actress Amrita Singh since October 1991. They divorced in 2004 after 14 years of marriage. From this marriage he has two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, who live with their mother. Khan and Kareena Kapoor appeared together for the grand finale of Lakme Fashion Week, the show by designer Manish Malhotra in October 2007 . He openly shared with the world that they were a couple. He has been married to Kareena Kapoor since October 16, 2012. Their first son was born on December 20, 2016.

Career
Khan has made films since 1993; his probably most important role was in the movie Hameshaa (1997) with Kajol . After that, he was not very successful before starring in Farhan Akhtar's film Dil Chahta Hai in 2001 and finally in Nikhil Advanis Kal Ho Naa Ho .
At the side of Rani Mukerji , Khan starred in the hit love film Hum Tum in 2004 , which gave Saif Ali Khan a career boost. Further collaborations with the production company Yash Raj Films were only average successes like Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic and Ta Ra Rum Pum .
A year later, in 2005, Pradeep Sarkar and Vidya Balan made their debut in the film Parineeta , which is based on the book of the same name. Khan played a composer and Lalita's childhood friend who later developed a closer bond.
In 2014 Humshakals and Happy Ending were released, which ended as a disaster . In Humshakal's comedy, Khan played three roles simultaneously. In Happy Ending, he was back on screen with Preity Zinta after years , as Zinta had a guest role.
In 2010, Saif Ali Khan received the Padma Shri , the fourth highest civil order in the Indian government, for his work in Indian cinema .
Saif Ali Khan is voiced in the German versions by the voice actor Philipp Moog , who lent him his voice for the first time in 2005 in the German premiere of the film Kal Ho Naa Ho .
