Manish Malhotra (* 1965 ) is a leading Indian fashion designer .

Manish Malhotra has designed clothes for many Bollywood actresses. He is known for his different styles and has the ability to always give the characters a whole new look. Many stars like Kajol , Kareena Kapoor , Rani Mukerji , Aishwarya Rai , Preity Zinta , Shilpa Shetty , Sridevi and Karishma Kapoor have already worn clothes he designed. Although he actually only designs designer clothing for women, he designed Shah Rukh Khan's costumes in Because my love is immortal ( Mohabbatein ). He became famous for the costumes of Urmila Matondkar in Rangeela (1995).

Malhotra was awarded the International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Costume Designer in 2001 for working on Because My Love Is Immortal and in 2002 for In Good As In Bad Days ( Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham ) .

In 2018 he was appointed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences , which awards the Oscars every year.
