Mahima Chaudhry
Mahima Chaudhry (* 13. September 1973 in Darjeeling , India as Ritu Chaudhry ) is a former Indian fashion model and actress . She made her film debut in 1997 with Amrish Puri and Shah Rukh Khan in Pardes .
Life
Mahima Chaudhry was born as Ritu Chaudhry in Darjeeling in 1973 . Her father was a member of the Jat , her mother comes from Nepal . She attended Dow Hill School in Klassenong up to the tenth grade and then went to Loreto College in Darjeeling. In the early 1990s she appeared in various TV commercials, including alongside Aamir Khan and Aishwarya Rai for Pepsi . Chaudhry was also active as a video jockey , which the director Subhash Ghai became aware of. He gave her a role in the 1997 Bollywood film Pardes , for which she received a Filmfare Award for best film debut.
Since then she has appeared in various film productions, including Kajol , Shilpa Shetty , Amisha Patel , Manisha Koirala , Rekha , Preity Zinta , Tabu and Hema Malini .
Private
Chaudhry was briefly in a relationship with tennis player Leander Paes until he began an affair with the then married female model Rhea Pillai in 2004 . In 2006 she married businessman Bobby Mukherji , but now lives separately from him. Chaudhry has a daughter with him.
