The Day of the Braunschweigische Landschaft was a cultural festival in Braunschweiger Land , a region in the southeast of Lower Saxony .

The cultural festival presented cultural associations, cultural workers and working groups of the Regional Association of Brunswick landscape the cultural diversity of traditions and history-rich region and introduced the up to 40,000 visitors.

The day of the Braunschweigische Landschaft was organized by the organizing municipality and the Landschaftsverband Braunschweigische Landschaft e. V. , whose members include the municipalities, towns and districts of the former state of Braunschweig . The landscape day was usually under the patronage of the Lower Saxony Prime Minister .

The first landscape day took place in 1990 in the town of Blankenburg in what is now the Harz district in western Saxony-Anhalt . The festival, which usually takes place every two years, is held in a different city or municipality.

Around 10,000 visitors came to Brunswick Landscape Day on July 27, 2014 in Vechelde, under the motto “Home in a global world”. At the same time there was an exhibition "Home Front" in the Remise of the Vechelde Citizens' Center, which was organized by the Association's History Working Group.

In the years that followed, none of the districts involved in the Braunschweigische Landschaft landscape association and the independent cities were ready to host another landscape day. The regional association is currently examining alternative options for encounters (status: 2017).
