Tago ( Filipino : Bayan ng Tago ) is a Filipino municipality in the province of Surigao del Sur , Administrative Region XIII, Caraga. It has 35,329 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who lived in 24 barangays . It is classified as a second income class community in the Philippines and as partially urbanized .
Tago has only a small stretch of coast on the Philippine Sea , is approx. 18 km south of Tandag City and can be reached via the coastal road. Their neighboring communities are Tandag City in the north, San Miguel in the west, Cagwait and Bayabas in the east, and Marihatag in the south.
