Tangerang Selatan is a metropolis west of the Indonesian capital Jakarta and the fourth largest city in the metropolitan region of Jabodetabek . It takes up 1.53% of the area of the province of Banten and has a share of 12.32% of the provincial population.

location

The city lies in the lowlands (10-18 m altitude), south of Tangerang and west of Jakarta . The northern border forms the municipality of Tangerang, in the east Jakarta and the municipality ( Kota ) Depok (province West Java ) form the border, in the south Tangerang Selatan also borders the municipality Depok and the administrative district ( Kabupaten ) Bogor (also province Jawa Barat) and in the west to the administrative district (indones.
