Tanja Diezmann

Tanja Diezmann (* 1969 in Munich ) is a German designer and professor at the Bremen University of the Arts . She deals with interface design , interaction design and user experience design.

Life

After completing a diploma in visual design at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Design from 1990 to 1994, she studied visual communication from 1994 to 1995 at the Berlin University of the Arts .

From 1994 to 1998, as Creative Director of Pixelpark , she was responsible for the design of innovative CD-ROM titles, modular interface systems, websites and POS solutions. She advised u. a. Customers like Adidas , Conrad Electronic , Lufthansa , Telekom and Sony . At the same time, she taught photo design and multimedia at the Lette-Verein vocational school in Berlin and gave management seminars for web and interface design.

In 1998 Tanja Diezmann was appointed professor of interface design at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau (design department), where she taught until 2011. From 2007 to 2009 Tanja Diezmann worked at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena (USA) as Director of Interaction / Interface Design and developed a new field of study for Interaction Design. In 2011 Tanja Diezmann was appointed professor for interaction design at the University of the Arts in Bremen. She works on the design of new realities as well as on the interlacing of visualization and interaction.

Diezmann formulated the "Navigable Structures" principle as a new interface design principle. In 2001 she and her team developed a new usability test procedure pReact and the "Integrated Interface System-IIS". This is a user experience kit that enables the international standardization of interfaces for online, offline and mobile media as well as for product interfaces.

Tanja Diezmann is internationally involved in intercultural media projects and interaction design workshops. She participates in expert committees, congresses and juries, among others she was a member of the jury of the Prix ​​Ars Electronica , the Federal Product Design Award , the Grimme Online Award and the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany .
