Tanja Ries (artist name also Fischerin ; born June 1, 1968 in Pforzheim ) is a German chanson singer , coach and presenter .

Life

From 2005 to 2011 she was artistic director of the annual Berlin Chanson Festival, the largest chanson festival in Germany. Since hosting a gala in 2000, she has been committed to youth work. She is currently working as a coach, applying the teachings of Zen , among other things . Their music, a mixture of chanson, ambient and pop , is often compared to Tori Amos , Marianne Rosenberg and Björk . Musically, Ries breaks genre boundaries, created a rap opera in collaboration with Gangway e. V. and worked with the techno DJ XOL DOG ​​400 . Furthermore, she campaigns politically for the unconditional basic income and is a charitable curator in the Berlin AIDS-Hilfe .
