Traumton was founded as a production company, studio and publisher in 1989 by the producer, sound engineer and composer Wolfgang Loos and the musician Stefanie Marcus. In 1992 the label Traumton Records was added.
Today the catalog contains over 350 publications. This includes productions by international artists such as David Friedman , Jasper van't Hof , David Moss and Vinx as well as the experimental works that Wolfgang Loos realized under his stage name KooKoon together with the geophysics professor Frank Scherbaum on the basis of seismic data transposed into the audible range .
In the field of pop / chanson, Traumton Records was early on to acts like Rosenstolz (release of the CDs "Nur once noch" (1994), "Wednesday is' er due" (1995) and "Raritäten" (1997) on Traumton)) and Ina Müller ( "Das Große Du", 2004) attentively.
