Arne Jansen

Arne Jansen (born November 26, 1975 in Kiel ) is a German jazz musician ( guitar , composition ).

Live and act

Jansen studied jazz guitar at the Berlin University of the Arts from 1996 to 2001 and was taught by Jeanfrançois Prins , David Friedman , Sigi Busch and Peter Less , among others .

From 1997 to 2000 he was a member of the concert line-up of the Federal Jazz Orchestra (BuJazzO) under the direction of Peter Herbolzheimer , with whom he also toured internationally. He led his own Arne Jansen Trio, with which he also recorded, presented himself at the JazzFest Berlin 2008, Enjoy Jazz 2008, Jazz Baltica 2009 and Jazzahead 2010 and made concert tours in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Ukraine. He was also involved in recordings by Katja Riemann , Jazzanova and Nils Wülker . He also played with Naked Raven , Markus Stockhausen , Jocelyn B. Smith , Tim Fischer , Gitte Haenning , Fitzwilliam String Quartet, Babelsberg Film Orchestra . He also wrote theater music.

Prizes and awards

Jansen was a winner of the 2007 Berlin Senate studio competition with his trio. For his CD The Sleep of Reason - Ode to Goya he was awarded the Echo Jazz in 2014; In 2017 he received an Echo Jazz as best national guitarist for his CD Nine Firmaments .
