Tannenkrug (Altmärkische Höhe)
Tannenkrug is a residential area in the Losse district of the Altmärkische Höhe community in the Stendal district in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The place is about 2 kilometers north of Losse and about 5 kilometers west of the Hanseatic city of Seehausen (Altmark) on the federal highway 190. Other neighboring towns are Lindenberg in the northwest and the forester's house Priemern in the west.
history
In 1836 the Tannenkrug was built by Johann Friedrich Michaelis from Losse and his wife Maria Dorothe, née Henning, on a six-way cross. There paths cross in the direction of Seehausen, Baarsberge, Losse, Arendsee (Altmark) , Groß Garz , Krüden and Vielbaum .
At first there was a beer tap, which was coupled with an agriculture and a brick factory. With the construction of the Chaussee Seehausen – Arendsee in 1854, business flourished increasingly. A park was added, in which park concerts and similar events took place. In 1897 it had to give way to the construction of a dairy.
Today the former Krug is a eatery with regional and Mediterranean cuisine and also a place for excursions for vacationers or travelers.
In 1986 the State Forestry Company Salzwedel, Revierförsterei Losse, ran a sawmill in Tannenkrug. It later became part of Sägewerk Losse GmbH , which was deleted from the commercial register of the Stendal local court in 2001.
