Tarcisius Resto Phanrang

Tarcisius Resto Phanrang SDB (born October 16, 1929 in Tyrna , British India , † May 5, 1999 in Shillong , Meghalaya ) was an Indian religious and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Shillong .

Life

Tarcisius Resto Phanrang joined the order of the Salesians of Don Bosco . Resto Phanrang received the sacrament of ordination on June 26, 1960 after studying Catholic theology and philosophy .

On 11 June 1990 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Corniculana and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Shillong-Guwahati. The Archbishop of Shillong-Guwahati, Hubert D'Rosario SDB, donated him episcopal ordination on September 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Imphal , Joseph Mittathany , and the Bishop of Tezpur , Robert Kerketta SDB. John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Shillong on August 2, 1995.
