Tassilo von Grolman (* 1942 in Iserlohn ) is a German product designer .

Career

Von Grolman first completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter at AEG in Oldenburg, followed by a mechanical engineering degree in Lage / Lippe. He then worked for a year as an engineering assistant on the MS Santa Rosa / Reederei Hamburg-Süd and finished his mechanical engineering studies in Berlin. In Kassel he studied at what was then the Werkkunstschule, later the Academy of Fine Arts, a forerunner of the University of Kassel , with a degree in industrial design . He was assistant to Professor Arnold Bode in the area of ​​exhibition planning. He then gained experience in advertising agencies ( TBWA and Lürzer Conrad) and in an architecture office in Frankfurt am Main . Von Grolman has been running his own design office since 1975, initially in Frankfurt am Main and in Oberursel (Taunus) . Since summer 2011 von Grolman has lived and worked in Berlin. He specializes in product design and design consulting.
