action

Manfred Ottmann is the managing director of his wife's motorhome company. He often moves motorhomes to the south of France and has thus met his lover Christine Boyer, who lives in France, and who costs him a lot of money. When he was once again transferring a mobile home to France, his wife, who distrusted him, gave him her nephew Heinz Messel by the hand. On the way to France, Ottmann sends Heinz home and gives him money before he crosses the border into France alone. Heinz buys a motorcycle with the money and has an accident with it, while Ottmann meets Christine behind the border and has fun. Ottmann plans to steal DM 300,000 black money from his wife by faking a break-in, he plans his lover to secretly transfer his mobile home for him and thus provide him with an alibi for the break-in, she just shouldn't show up. Meanwhile, Schäfermann is called to the crashed Messel, who was found seriously injured and succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards. Schäfermann finds out from Messel's girlfriend that Heinz was often sent home by Ottmann before the border when Messel was there when a caravan was being transported, nobody in the company was allowed to know about it. Schäfermann informs Mrs. Ottmann of the death of her nephew. Ms. Ottmann says that she gave her nephew money to buy a trailer, the money was not found at Heinz. She states that she preferred to give Heinz the money because her husband cannot be relied on.

Schäfermann and Backes determine that Heinz has a criminal record for receiving stolen goods and drug offenses, Ottmann actually drove across the border to France, the motorhome Ottmann is using can be found through administrative assistance from his French colleagues, but he has parked it at a motorway service station to have fun with Christine. Schäfermann and Backes seek out Ms. Ottmann and inform her that her husband cannot be found. They learn from an employee that Ms. Ottmann always sent Heinz to France as a “guardian” for her husband. She gives Schäfermann a second key for the motorhome, who goes to France with Backes. There the officials found Messel's travel bag in the mobile home and a receipt for the 30,000 francs that Mrs. Ottmann Messels had given for expenses. The officials conclude that Messel must have left voluntarily. Meanwhile, Ottmann says goodbye to Christine in order to break into the safe in his wife's company in Germany. He gives Christine the keys and vehicle documents for the mobile home. The officers learned from a waitress that Christine Boyer, who runs a perfumery in the neighboring village, had been to the trailer and went in with the driver, whom she did not recognize. Heinz Messel has never seen her.

Together with his French colleague Muller, he visits Christine in her shop, who admits that she had been with Ottmann and that he has now continued his journey with the mobile home. The officers inform their colleague Backes, who has stayed at the mobile home, that Ottmann will show up there soon. As soon as the officers have left their shop, Christine rushes to the motorway service station on a moped, manages to get there from Schäfermann and drive away in the mobile home, unnoticed by Backes. After arriving at the rest stop, Schäfermann takes up the chase with Backes despite Christine's big lead. Christine drives off the autobahn and so depends on the officers. Schäfermann finds out that Ottmann has changed money at the border, who secretly crosses the border to Germany again. Ottmann penetrates into his wife's house and clears the safe, then he looks for his wife in the bathroom and shoots her, believing in his alibi. Then he takes the body in the trunk over to France. Meanwhile, Schäfermann and his people arrive at the campsite, where Ottmann is known and should be staying as planned. Meanwhile, Ottmann secretly meets with Christine, who has not yet delivered the mobile home. She tells him that the police are after him, he thinks that Heinz must have done something. He lies to Christine that he accidentally killed his wife in self-defense and implores her to stand by him. Ottmann finally drives the mobile home to the campsite, where Schäfermann's assistant Backes is waiting for him. Schäfermann and Muller meet Christine in a restaurant, who explains her appearance with her concern for Ottmann.

Backes brings Ottmann to Schäfermann, explaining his delay with health problems, the fact that he sent Heinz home with his lover, whom he wanted to meet. Schäfermann informs Ottmann about Heinz's death and the suspicion that he might have been murdered. Ottmann explains the death of Heinz with his dark past in the drug milieu. The officers ask Ottmann to accompany them to Germany, so he and Christine cannot remove Frau Ottmann's body, which is still in Christine's trunk, for the time being. Schäfermann informs Ottmann that, according to the latest findings, Messel was killed in a motorcycle accident, Ottmann's plan now seems to be working. Schäfermann and Backes, however, have problems with their old car and cannot drive back immediately, Schäfermann asks Christine, who still has the body in the trunk, to take it with her until Metz, Ottmann tries to reload the body from the trunk into the mobile home in the meantime , but is disturbed by Backes and puts the body under the mobile home. In front of the officials, he faked a phone call to his wife in order to mislead her. Meanwhile, workers approach Schäfermann and want the mobile home to be moved a little to the side so that this work can be carried out. Schäfermann gives Christine the duplicate key so that she drives away the motorhome and releases the body in front of the officers before Ottmann can prevent it.
