Taylor Gabriel (* 17th February 1991 in Mesquite , Texas ) is an American American football poker players on the position of wide receiver . He is currently a free agent . Most recently he played for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL). He was previously under contract with the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons .

Early years

Gabriel went to high school in his hometown of Mesquite , Texas , and later played college football for Abilene Christian University in Texas. From 2010 to 2013 he earned 3,027 yards with 215 passes and 27 touchdowns .

NFL

Cleveland Browns

After Gabriel was not selected in the 2014 NFL Draft , he signed a contract with the Cleveland Browns . On September 7, 2014, he made his NFL debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers . On November 2, 2014, he scored his first touchdown in the NFL in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers . He was released on September 3, 2016.

Atlanta Falcons

Gabriel signed a contract with the Atlanta Falcons on September 4, 2016 . In the game against the Arizona Cardinals on November 27, 2016, he scored two touchdowns. In total, he has scored six touchdowns after catching passes and one run down for the Falcons in the season. He reached the Super Bowl LI with the Falcons , which was lost at 28:34. In that game he scored three pass catches for a total of 76 yards .

Chicago Bears

After withdrawal of his contract with the Falcons Gabriel signed a four-year contract with a salary of 26 million US dollars for the Chicago Bears .

Due to concussions, he missed seven games of the 2019 season. After the season ended, Gabriel was released by the Bears on February 21, 2020.
