Tchouroutt

Tchouroutt (also: Tchourout ) is a village in the rural municipality of Malbaza in Niger .

The village, run by a traditional chief ( chef traditionnel ), is located around 22 kilometers north of Malbaza, the capital of the rural community of the same name, which belongs to the Malbaza department in the Tahoua region. Dabnou, about seven kilometers to the west, is one of the larger villages in the area .

At the 2012 census, Tchouroutt had 6,470 inhabitants who lived in 990 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 2,227 in 375 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 1,882 in 319 households.

There is a state health center in Tchouroutt.
