technicoll is a registered trademark of the company Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH Zorneding , which produces adhesives especially for industry and trade . The word creation technicoll is made up of “techni” (stands for technical application) and the French word for adhesive (colle) “coll”.

history

The first recipes and the name finding were developed by the company Beiersdorf AG Hamburg in the early 1960s . Based on the range of technical adhesive tapes from the tesa brand , an extensive product range of liquid technical adhesives was created and marketed. This range of adhesives was based on different types of raw materials in different container sizes , from tubes to 200 liter drums. This met the different requirements of industry, craft and trade. Beiersdorf AG Hamburg used various sales channels to market technicoll products . The paragraph on technical trade for industry and craft was to be seen as a focus. The existing network was used for nationwide delivery. In addition, large industrial producers were served directly. The stationary sale of technicoll products for the do-it-yourselfer and small users took place via retail stores.

In 1994, Beiersdorf AG Hamburg sold the technicoll brand, including the formulations, production facilities, sales partners and customers, to the adhesive manufacturer HB Fuller in the USA.

The subsidiary HB Fuller GmbH, based in Munich at the time, took on the development, production and sales of technicoll products. From this point on, the company Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH in Zorneding near Munich took over the support and delivery of customers in the German-speaking area . The previously known technicoll products for hobby and household items remained with Beiersdorf and were transferred to the tesa group.

In 2007 the adhesives company Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH in Zorneding bought the technicoll brand from HB Fuller Company, which is registered in many countries. Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH manages the brand in-house as a separate division . This includes tracing the brand back to the original basic concept of “offering a wide range of application-related adhesives in needs-based packaging”. Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH is constantly developing new product recipes and optimizing the product portfolio . The nationwide sale of technicoll products is also carried out through the technical trade. In 2009, Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH and technicoll were voted supplier of the year by the member companies of the VTH. Technicoll has been one of the 24 renowned brands in the technical trade since 2012, as a member of the VTH quality partners.

In addition to this sales channel, there is direct delivery to industrial processors. A very close, consulting-intensive collaboration between adhesive developers and industrial users is required here. The focus is on customer- oriented advice and compliance with the quality standards of the techincoll brand. In order to meet the needs of the market to place orders on the Internet , technicoll uses the platform of the Ottozeus GmbH online shop, which specializes in adhesives.

Product development over time

In the 1960s and 1970s, the product focus was on surface bonds such as insulating materials, sandwich bonds and upholstery materials.

These traditional Beiersdorf AG adhesives will continue to be offered by technicoll, e. B. high-strength viscoplastic adhesives. This traditional basic range of adhesives for surface and construction bonding was successfully expanded in the following years to include many adhesive products required by the market. Completely new adhesive technologies are also coming onto the market under the technicoll brand, such as: B. the hot melt adhesive from the tube.

In recent years, Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH has expanded the technicoll range to include the technology of modern two-component structural adhesives for highly stressed, technical adhesive bonds. For this future-oriented connection technology technicoll is continuously developing new adhesives based on different raw materials such as polyurethanes , epoxy resins and acrylates .

The bonding of metals and plastics as well as modern composite materials is replacing more and more traditional joining techniques. These adhesives are used in the automotive industry , various vehicle constructions , machine and device construction , electrical and electronics industry as well as in technical systems.

The technicoll consulting department supports adhesive users with new adhesive technology projects , as well as sales partners and technical dealers . At technical adhesive conferences and seminars, the technicoll specialists often work closely with Andreas Groß from the Fraunhofer Institute IFAM .
