Theodore Marvin "Ted" DiBiase, Jr. (born November 8, 1982 in Clinton , Mississippi ) is an American wrestler.

His greatest successes so far are the two-time receipt of the WWE World Tag Team title and the Million Dollar Championship , which is not listed as an official title.

Ted DiBiase Jr. is a third generation wrestler. His step-grandfather "Iron" Mike DiBiase, his grandmother Helen Hild and his father "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase were already active in the wrestling business. Likewise, his two brothers Mike and Brett are working on a wrestling career.

Life

Youth and beginnings in wrestling

DiBiase grew up in Clinton ( Mississippi ) and attended Morrison Heights Baptist Church . In 2001 he graduated from Clinton High School , where he was appointed quarterback on the football team. He then went to Mississippi College , where he did his bachelor's degree in business administration in 2005 .

After their school career, Ted and his older brother Mike decided to follow in their father's footsteps and each began a wrestling career. Both received a place in the Harley Race Wrestling Academy . Ted and Mike DiBiase debuted on 8 July 2006 for World League Wrestling in Eldon ( Missouri ). A short time later, Ted also appeared a few times in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH .

WWE

In July 2007 DiBiase signed a development contract with World Wrestling Entertainment and was initially sent to the Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) training league . There he was allowed to receive the FCW Southern Heavyweight Championship on December 18, 2007 , but was unable to defend it due to an injury and then had to give it up again.

In the May 26, 2008 edition of RAW, DiBiase made his TV debut as a Heel , challenging then- World Tag Team Champions , Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly . At the PPV Night of Champions , DiBiase received the World Tag Team Championship in his first fight in the WWE. In the course of the fight Rhodes was allowed to turn against his partner Holly and reveal himself as DiBiase's unknown partner. Within a subsequent storyline , DiBiase and Rhodes had to hand over the title to Batista and John Cena on August 4th . In the planned rematch a week later, on August 11th, they were allowed to win the title again. In the course of a feud against CM Punk and Kofi Kingston , they had to give up the title again on October 27, 2008. In 2009 he formed the Legacy group with Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes (son of Dusty Rhodes). However, he and Rhodes suddenly attacked Randy Orton in the weeks leading up to Wrestlemania, resulting in a triple threat match between the three. In this match, however, he and Rhodes also fell out, which led to the final split of the table. Randy Orton won this match.

On April 26, 2011, he was the WWE Draft 2011 to Smackdown - Roster changed. Since then, DiBiase has mainly appeared at smaller promotional events and is rarely seen in the shows produced for television. On August 27, 2013, DiBiase finally announced that it did not want to renew its contract for the time being and that it would devote itself to family life.
