References to the previous series
Since this is a new edition of the Teen Titans series , there are also some allusions or parodies of the original in some episodes:
- Season 1, Episode 49 Dreams, features a clip from the Teen Titans film Trouble in Tokyo in Robin's Dream .
- In season 3, episode 10, The Fourth Wall: The video freak appears on the Titans' TV and tells them they're on a TV series, after which they watch the Teen Titans Go! Intro. After that, the video freak complains that the series has too many bad jokes and fecal humor and therefore doesn't get any awards. He then threatens the Titans that he will reissue their series. Cyborg replies that this is not true and the video freak mentions that he has already reissued the Teen Titans , whereupon he shows them the entire Teen Titans series. At the end of the last episode, the Titans complain that there is no 6th season of the series, then Robin stands up in horror and calls the video freak a monster because he discontinued the Teen Titans .
