Teen Titans Go! To the Movies is an animated film produced by Warner Bros. based on the animated series of the same name, the plot of which takes place during the fifth season. It was released in theaters in the United States in July 2018 and in Germany and Austria on August 16, 2018.

action

The Teen Titans can't believe it: Nobody knows them or takes them seriously; unlike any other superhero to whom several films have been dedicated. When they ask director Jade Wilson in the studio, she says that if there weren't any other superheroes in the world, she would only make one film with them. First of all, the Titans also take care of this by traveling back in time on time travel scooters to prevent the other DC characters from becoming superheroes in the first place. However, when they get back to their time, they find that the world is now full of crime and instead try to work more seriously. So they put the super villain Slade when he tries to steal a crystal from a research institute. They manage to steal the crystal from him, but Slade escapes. Nevertheless, Miss Wilson is so impressed by this experience that she now wants to make a film with the Titans after all. When the Titans notice a strange device that the other superheroes are building, they are convinced that it is a doomsday machine and want to destroy them. However, Miss Wilson explains that it is a special film projector and tells Robin that she now wants to make a film that is only about him. Driven by the idea of gaining fame, he rejects the statements of his team members and accepts. Miss Wilson uses a trick to get Robin to hand her the crystal he has secured while filming. Then she reveals herself as the disguised Slade and reveals his plan to him: with this crystal he would hypnotize people from all over the world from the aforementioned film projector and submit them to his will. With this he ties up Robin and leaves him in the Teen Titans Tower, where he has placed an explosive device. Although Robin manages to free himself, he cannot prevent the tower from being destroyed. Now convinced of what to do, he gathers his teammates back around him and unmasked Slade at the premiere of the film, which is attended by all the other DC superheroes. Unfortunately, Slade can bring them under his control with the hypnosis symbol on the big screen, so that all the superheroes chase the Titans. When Robin tries to destroy the crystal, Slade hypnotizes him too, but thanks to the encouragement of his friends, he comes to his senses again. Slade does not give up, however, and the film projector turns out to be a giant combat robot that he controls from its head. But through the combined strength of the Teen Titans they can stop the robot and eventually Slade. The other heroes, now relieved of Slade's control, come over and congratulate the Titans.

At the end of the credits, the original Teen Titans can be seen in a scene .
