Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles is the name of a 21-part radio play series that was produced by the German label OHHA in the early 1990s and is based on the cartoon series of the same name .
Emergence
The Wiesbaden publishing house OHHA produced a 21-part radio play series in the early 1990s, which was based on the first 42 German episodes of the American cartoon series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987-1996). The original dialogues from the German-dubbed episodes of the series were used for the production and provided with new background music, new sound effects and new theme music. On each of the 21 cassettes there are two episodes of ~ 17 minutes each :

The series revolves around the four brothers Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, four turtles who mutate into talking giant turtles through contact with a mysteriously luminous substance called "Ooze" and have since been under the care of their Senseis Splinter, who keeps them in the teaches Far Eastern martial art ninjutsu to fight for law and order. The Turtles live in the canal system of New York and mostly only venture to the surface at night, where they are mainly supported by the television reporter April O'Neil.
The Turtles are constantly trying to thwart the evil plans of their opponents, above all Shredder, a former student of Splinters, and Krang, an alien from Dimension X. However, the two villains are supported by their henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady, a mutated warthog or rhinoceros , as well as the so-called foot soldiers. Various other mutated or extraterrestrial characters appear in the course of the series.
