Dieter B. Gerlach

Dieter B. Gerlach (actually Dieter Brian Gerlach ; born May 23, 1942 ) is a German actor , director , author and voice actor .

Live and act

Dieter B. Gerlach initially studied painting, graphics and set design at the art academies in Basel and Berlin . He received his acting training from 1970 to 1973 with Herma Clement and Hilde Hildebrand in Berlin.

From 1970 to 1982 he had stage appearances in Berlin, Stuttgart , Hamburg , Hanover , Cologne , Frankfurt am Main , Zurich and Basel. In 1971, for example, he was Freddy in Shaw's Pygmalion in the comedy Marquardt (Stuttgart) , in 1972 he was in George Clark's Stay on the stage for breakfast under the direction of James von Berlepsch at the New Theater in Hanover . Further appearances were in 1976 at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm in The Man Who Doesn't Dare by Ted Brennet (director: Wolfgang Spier ) and in 1978 at the Kleiner Theater Bad Godesberg in Happy Birthday (director: Rolf Wegner ). In the comedy Who with Whom ? , composed with Gunther Philipp . he appeared in 1978 at the Cologne Theater am Dom (director: Rolf Wegner), in 1981 at the Bernhard Theater in Zurich (director: Georg Marischka ) and in 1982 at the Comedy Basel (director: Peter Strahl ).

Under the pseudonym of Alan Cooper , Gerlach wrote a number of plays, as an author he was also active for radio plays and audio books as well as for television productions. He has directed several theater performances, film adaptations and radio play productions.

His television career began in 1967 with the feature film Die Brücke von Remagen . He was subsequently seen in the cult series It doesn't always have to be caviar or in A man wants to go up .

Gerlach was the dubbing voice of John Wayne , Harrison Ford , Sylvester Stallone and Tom Selleck .

Dieter B. Gerlach lives in Berlin.
