The Teplička is a 26.5 km long left tributary of the Waag in the Okres Ilava (in the upper reaches) and in the Okres Trenčín in Slovakia . It is part of the Danube basin .
The Teplička rises in the Strážovské vrchy mountains near Horná Poruba between the Vápeč (956 m) and Homôľka (907 m) mountains and runs from there generally in a westerly direction via Dolná Poruba and Omšenie , crosses a small reservoir (vodní nádrž Teplička) and then the Spa town Trenčianske Teplice . It is accompanied by the narrow-gauge railway Trenčianska Teplá – Trenčianske Teplice on its further course to the confluence with the side channel of the Waag (Kočkovský kanál or Vážsky kanál) at Trenčianska Teplá at an altitude of around 220 m .
