Terre di Pedemonte is a merged municipality in the Melezza district in the Locarno district of the canton of Ticino in Switzerland .

Community merger

The new municipality was created on April 14, 2013 from the existing municipalities of Cavigliano , Tegna and Verscio .

With the project, an earlier undertaking was resumed. On September 22nd, 2002, a consultative vote on a merger project between the municipalities of Tegna, Verscio and Cavigliano with the working name Pedemonte took place. The project was put on hold after the Tegna voters voted against it. In 2011, the merger was also approved in a referendum in Tegna. The name of the merged community should initially be Tre Terre. In 2012 the name was changed to Terre di Pedemonte.
