The film was obviously shown first on television, according to one source (filmportal.de) in October on ARD, according to another (Lexicon of International Films) in HR in May 1973. A detailed theatrical release should not have been made. It is said to have been shortened to 60 minutes for the television broadcast. It was broadcast on August 24, 2014 with a length of 80 minutes.
