Thando Walbaum

Sidney Thando Joshua August Walbaum (born September 8, 1985 in Hamburg ) is a German musician and actor .

Life

Walbaum grew up in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel and still lives there today. He also spent some time in Africa. He has two older brothers who live with their families in South Africa.

He had his first TV role for Studio Hamburg in 1999 in an episode of the children's series Die Pfefferkörner . He played Hassouna in the movie Emil and the Detectives . In 2005 he got his first leading role in the film adaptation of the book Neger, Neger, Schornsteinfeger! at the side of Veronica Ferres . This film was nominated for the Golden Camera .

Walbaum appears together with his parents with the band Dube and plays traditional African township music.
