Thaon-les-Vosges was an independent French municipality until 2015 with a last 7895 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013) in the Vosges department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).
With effect from January 1, 2016, the municipalities of Thaon-les-Vosges , Girmont and Oncourt were merged into a Commune nouvelle with the name Capavenir Vosges .
geography
The area is twelve kilometers north of Épinal , the capital of the department, and can be reached from there via national road 57.
