The Asteroids Galaxy Tour is a Danish soul & funk band from Copenhagen .
Members
The focus of the band are Mette Lindberg and Lars Iversen, the line-up is expanded by Miloud Carl Sabri, Sven Meinilid, Mads Brinch Nielsen and Rasmus Valldorf. Lars Iversen writes most of the songs. He often uses smaller samples .
history
Lars Iversen and Mette Lindberg met in the summer of 2007. He played some of his songs for her and shortly afterwards the first recordings followed in a "living room studio" as well as the recruitment of the other four band members.
The group became known with their song Around the Bend , which was used in an Apple iPod touch commercial that aired from October 2008.
The band achieved their first major success with their first public appearance in Copenhagen as opening act for Amy Winehouse , when she toured Denmark. The group also played at some concerts on Katy Perry's European tour in the summer of 2009. In April 2009 they appeared on the One Shot Not program on ARTE . In Germany, the band performed at the Hurricane Festival (2009) and the Southside Festival (2009) as well as for the first time on December 13, 2008 in the Molotow in Hamburg and on September 26, 2009 in the Knust in Hamburg .
Her debut single The Sun Ain't Shining No More was released in July / August 2009, her debut album Fruit was released on September 18, 2009.
The song Golden Age is used in the Heineken commercial The Entrance (January 2011).
