The Beatles Connection is a German tribute band that plays songs by the rock group The Beatles . The band was founded in Braunschweig in 2009 .
style
The Beatles Connection's repertoire consists exclusively of songs from the British rock band The Beatles. This includes both tracks that the Beatles played live on stage as well as tracks that the Beatles produced exclusively in the studio and never played live. The band has set itself the goal of reproducing the tracks true to the original and in great detail, as well as reproducing the Beatles' live shows as precisely as possible. Equivalent instruments and amplifiers are used at their concerts. Furthermore, the band dresses in outfits that correspond to the templates of the Beatles suits.
A special feature of The Beatles Connection is that the main voices of the songs in their repertoire are also distributed among four singers. Furthermore, their singer and bassist Benjamin Heisel is also left-handed like Paul McCartney and also plays the bass in this way.
The Beatles Connection plays concerts of various sizes all over Germany and the European region. For example, they are booked nationwide at major folk festivals such as the Braunschweig Magnifest , the Hanover Maschseefest or the Paderborn Libori, as well as at festivals, company events or private and public concert events, and they perform around 50 performances per year.

In 2010 the group started a collaboration with the actor, author and Joachim Ringelnatz award winner Achim Amme . Together they performed the show "All You Need Is Love - Lennon's Early Years" on. Nurse reads from Philip Norman's John Lennon biography and is supported by the band with titles by the Beatles. The collaboration revived in 2015 and 2016 for several performances, some of which were sold out.
Since 2013, the Beatles Connection has been providing musical accompaniment to the exhibition The Beatles - Fab Four Ever by Circus Roncalli , which is touring through numerous German shopping centers of the ECE group from 2013 to 2016 .
In 2014 they released their live CD entitled Live in Concert . The following year the album was available on the music streaming service Spotify , where the group is now one of the most popular cover bands. Her version of Blackbird alone has been heard over half a million times.
The Hagen pianist and former student Paul McCartney Dominik Schirmer has also been part of the extended cast of the group since 2014 . In 2015 she took part in the MDR summer tour in Coswig, Saxony-Anhalt and was the opening act for Stefanie Heinzmann .

- Singer and guitarist Alex van den Berg is also active in the Genesis tribute band Geneses parallel to The Beatles Connection .
- Drummer Jasper Meister and Jens Bäumler are still together in the blues band Layla Aktiv, which is dedicated to the work of Eric Clapton and consists of a few members of the Braunschweig bands 'Voodoo Lounge' and 'Sweety Glitter & The Sweethearts'.
