De Mita cabinet
The De Mita cabinet ruled Italy from April 13, 1988 to July 22, 1989. After the Goria cabinet, it was the second government after the early parliamentary elections on June 14, 1987. A number of ministers from the Gorias cabinet remained in office. The government of Prime Minister Ciriaco De Mita was based on a five-party coalition (Pentapartito) consisting of Christian Democrats (DC), Socialists (PSI), Social Democrats (PSDI), Republicans (PRI) and Liberals (PLI). It was followed by the Andreotti VI cabinet .
