Berlusconi IV cabinet

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Berlusconi IV cabinet ruled Italy from May 8, 2008 to November 16, 2011. The government was supported by a coalition of Popolo della Libertà (PdL) and Lega Nord (LN) since the members of the government of Futuro e Libertà per l'Italia (FLI) and Movimento per le Autonomie (MpA) resigned from their offices on November 15, 2010.

Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi resigned on November 12, 2011 (also at the urging of some euro countries because of a lack of austerity efforts in the wake of the sovereign debt crisis in the euro area ). He was succeeded by Mario Monti ; Monti formed the Monti cabinet exclusively from non-party ministers.
