Cabinet Spadolini II
The Spadolini II cabinet ruled Italy from August 23, 1982 to December 1, 1982. Compared to the previous cabinet, Spadolini I , which had resigned due to a defeat in parliament, it remained unchanged except for a post of state secretary, which is why it is also known as governo fotocopia was designated. The government of Prime Minister Giovanni Spadolini was still based on a five-party coalition (Pentapartito) consisting of Christian Democrats (DC), Socialists (PSI), Social Democrats (PSDI), Republicans (PRI) and Liberals (PLI). The government ended at the end of 1982 because of a coalition dispute, in particular between the socialist Rino Formica and the Christian Democrat Beniamino Andreatta , over the independence of the Italian central bank Banca d'Italia . In the following Fanfani V cabinet , neither of the two received a ministerial post .
