Vincenzo Scotti (born September 16, 1933 in Naples ) is an Italian politician .

Scotti was a party member of the Democrazia Cristiana and was a representative of the Camera dei deputati from 1968 to 1994 . He also held various ministerial offices in the course of his political career. From 1978 to 1980 and from 1982 to 1983 he served as Minister of Labor and from 1981 to 1982 as Minister of Culture. During his tenure as Minister of the Interior under Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti , the Direzione Investigativa Antimafia was founded on the initiative of investigating magistrates Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino . In the subsequent Amato government , Scotti was foreign minister for a short time.
