The Bonny Situation was a German alternative rock band from Duisburg . The name is a reference to the episode " The Bonnie Situation " from Quentin Tarantino's film Pulp Fiction .
history
The band, founded in 2004, toured the same year with producer Micki Meuser as part of the Euro Rock Band Contest through Great Britain , the Netherlands and Germany . In 2005, the first self-produced album, Still Another Day to Come, followed . After a year of opening concerts for bands like Die Happy , Revolverheld and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter , the Le Fink EP was released in 2007 . In the same year a 3-track live DVD was released. The Bonny Situation signed a management and booking contract with 42Talent in 2008. They played at festivals like Olgas Rock , C / o pop and Bochum Total . At the end of the year the EP Two Lazy Apes was released on their own label, Le Fink Records , in February and the album Music for A & Rs on December 5, 2008 . Also this year the band played at festivals like the Freefall-Festival in Moers or the Spack! -Festival in Wirges . At the end of 2009 the first live album was released, which shows the release concert of the second album. In March 2010, her third studio album was released, a concept album called Robot Says I Love You . In the same year the singer took part in Stefan Raab's casting show Our Star for Oslo and made it into the last 20. 2010 guitarist “Alex Martini White” left the band to devote himself to his solo project “ Mobilée ”. In December 2010 the band offered their music for free download. In June 2011 the best-of album "Passengers 2007-2011", the single "Neonriverboat" and in August 2011 the single "Wave Goodbye" were released. On August 8, 2012, The Bonny Situation released another EP - the "Drumbeat EP".
