The Marksman is an American action film with Wesley Snipes in the lead role of "Painter". Directed by Marcus Adams .

The action film is set in Russia . A large nuclear power plant is stormed by a band of brutal Chechen rebels. They take hostages and want to steal the plutonium. Since not only Russian, but also American technicians are included in the plant, the Russians request American help. They dispatch a special unit of the United States Navy SEALs under the leadership of Lieutenant Painter. Painter and his people are supposed to electronically mark the nuclear power plant so that it can be bombed. However, Painter soon realizes that the US has been deceived and is to be tricked into attacking an active nuclear power plant.

The German synchronization was carried out by Scala Media GmbH in Munich. Dialogue direction was directed by Peter Woratz , the dialogue book was written by Stefan Sidak .
criticism
The lexicon of international films ruled that The Marksman - Targeted was a “trigger-happy action film”, shot “according to stereotypical patterns”.
