action

Rhonda Byrne interviews some of the named success coaches, relationship and motivational trainers of America as well as two alleged quantum physicists who have been dealing with the so-called "secret" for years. In interviews, they explain their point of view of the “law of attraction” and the statements are illustrated by film sequences.

The core message of the film is that the thoughts and feelings of every single person attract or create real circumstances. According to those who appear in the film, this “law of attraction” affects every aspect of our being, such as health, interpersonal relationships, money, occupation, etc. This does not happen by chance, but with the certainty and accuracy of a natural law. It is also stated that the "secret" was known only to a few people who were not interested in sharing it with others. The content of the film is largely in line with the teaching content of Christian Science and the New Spirit Movement .

Rhonda Byrne was the book The Science of Getting Rich (English: "The Science of Getting Rich" ) by Wallace D. Wattles , which was written in 1900, and of "The Master Key System" by Charles F. Haanel , which in 1912 was written, inspired.

The former "teachers"

The film names former so-called "teachers" who knew about the "law of attraction" and are said to have applied it successfully. Quotes from these people are intended to confirm their knowledge of the law of attraction. These include, among others, important artists and scientists of the past, for example Ludwig van Beethoven , Albert Einstein and Hermes Trismegistos .

Today's "teachers"

According to the film, today's “teachers” are specialists or authors in the fields of quantum physics, psychology, metaphysics, theology, philosophy, medicine and personal development.

The author Bob Proctor begins by “uncovering” the “secret”, he is followed by: John Assaraf, Michael Beckwith, Lee Brower, Jack Canfield , John F. Demartini, Marie Diamond, Mike Dooley, Bob Doyle, Hale Dwoskin, Morris E. Goodman, John Gray , John Hagelin, Bill Harris, Ben Johnson, Loral Langemeier, Lisa Nichols, James Arthur Ray, David Schirmer, Marci Shimoff, Joe Vitale, Frederick E. • Scientificity - should be the overriding principle of "revolutionary" documentation. The message is nothing more than a concept developed by charlatans to achieve their commercial goals. - Filmreporter.de
  • While Winfrey, Kidman and all the US newspapers idolize "The Secret", doctors and experts scream. The trigger for the sometimes fierce criticism was a young woman who claimed on American television that she fought her breast cancer with "The Secret". "'The Secret' isn't just wrong. It's dangerous. People might die thinking they no longer need medical attention," Richard Wender, director of an American cancer research center, told ABC. - Vanity Fair
