The Wytches are a British rock band whose music can be assigned to the genre of psychedelic rock and grunge . The band consists of singer and songwriter Kristian Bell, drummer Gianni Honey and bassist Daniel Rumsey.
history
Kristian Bell and Gianni Honey originally belonged to the band The Crooked Canes in their hometown of Peterborough , England . After the band split up, they both went to Brighton to study at the university there. There they met bassist Daniel Rumsey, who was previously the front man of the punk band Fall Victim . The band was originally called The Witches , but changed the spelling to The Wytches in order to be more easily found by the Google search engine . The second guitarist Mark Breed left because he had started a musical side project called Strand Whores .
The band released their debut single Beehive Queen in June 2013, followed by the single Robe for Juda in November 2013 . The debut album Annabel Dream Reader was released in August 2014. It was recorded within two days at Toe Rag Studios in Hackney .
style
Musically, the band is anchored in the early Black Sabbath and also takes early post-punk into account in their melodies .
