Theodor "Theo" Fitzau (born February 10, 1923 in Koethen , † March 18, 1982 in Groß-Gerau ) was a German automobile racing driver .
Career
In 1953 he competed in the German Grand Prix , which at that time was carried out according to the Formula 2 regulations, as a private driver for Helmut Niedermayr . However, Fitzau fell out in the third round and did not score any championship points.
From 1949 to 1953 he mainly drove in Formula 3 and in August 1953 he finished behind Kurt Ahrens senior in Freiburg . and ahead of Kurt Kuhnke - all three on Cooper - second place. He also started in Formula 2 on a self-built BMW 328 Weber, with which he came fourth in the Leipzig City Park Race in 1950 and second on the Halle-Saale loop .
