Theo Peer

Theo Peer (* 20th May 1930 in Innsbruck ) is an Austrian pianist , ORF - editor and cabaret artist .

After high school, he ran his parents' paper business until 1969 . As a pianist he made Béla Bartók , Zoltán Kodály and Gottfried von Eine famous in Tyrol, he premiered many works by the local composers Peter Zwetkoff , Bert Breit , Erich Urbanner and Robert Nessler .

Peer was a piano teacher at the Innsbruck Conservatory for 13 years, as well as a freelancer at the ORF regional studio in Tyrol .

Through the “Alpine interviews” he conducted with Otto Grünmandl , he became known as a cabaret artist and nationally by chance. The interviews were broadcast on Ö3 for months . This was followed by the “Alpine Inspectorate”, “Olympic Interviews” and “Alpine Inventions”. Books and CDs followed later. It continued with many film and television recordings at home and abroad, including over 20 episodes as a museum guide in the quiz in red-white-red . 1992–1998 he moderated the "Totznhacker", a cheerful and critical series of the ORF-Studios Tirol. Theo Peer is married to the actress Maria Barmüller .
