Theodor Bohnenberger
Theodor Bohnenberger (born July 25, 1868 in Stuttgart , † October 1941 in Bad Tölz ) was a German painter and cavalry officer.
Bohnenberger studied at the Stuttgart Art School with Jakob Grünenwald and Carl von Häberlin , and from April 30, 1887 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Johann Caspar Herterich and Carl von Marr . He went on study trips to Italy , France , Spain and England . After completing his studies, he worked as a freelance artist in Munich. Bohnenberger was also a cavalry officer with the rank of major in the reserve.
Theodor Bohnenberger took part in numerous exhibitions in Munich, Düsseldorf and Vienna since 1895. He became a member of the Luitpold Group in Munich and later the Munich Artists' Cooperative .
Bohnenberger dealt with flower, genre, portrait, landscape and nude painting.
