Theodor Elsenhans
Theodor Elsenhans (born March 7, 1862 in Stuttgart , † January 3, 1918 in Dresden ) was a German philosopher, psychologist and educator.
Life
Theodor Elsenhans, the son of the Stuttgart gymnastics teacher August Friedrich Elsenhans (1827–1883) and his wife Pauline Elsenhans, b. Hess, completed the Protestant theological seminar in Schöntal and then studied theology in Tübingen . In 1885 he obtained his doctorate phil. From 1891 he was pastor in Riedlingen , but stuck to philosophy. Because Elsenhans went as a lecturer in psychology and philosophy of Heidelberg and his habilitation in 1902 with a thesis on "The Kant - Fries ical problem". The habilitation thesis appeared in 1906 perfected under the title "Fries and Kant". From 1908 Elsenhans worked as a full professor for philosophy and education at the Royal Saxon Technical University in Dresden . He gave his inaugural lecture in Saxony the title “The prerequisites for science without preconditions”. Theodor Elsenhans was rector of the Dresden educational institution for technicians from 1916 to 1917.
Elsanhans died in Dresden in January 1918. He found his final resting place in the family grave in the Prague cemetery in Stuttgart .

Theodor Elsenhans married Berta Häberlein, the daughter of the senior medical officer in Riedlingen, in 1895.
