Theodor Körner (politician, 1941)

Theodor Körner (born September 26, 1941 in Inchenhofen ; † August 31, 2018 ) was a German administrative lawyer and local politician ( CSU ). From 1989 to 2002 he was District Administrator of the district Aichach-Friedberg .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1962, he studied law at the University of Munich . He passed the first state examination in 1968 and the second state examination in 1971. From 1973 he worked in the civil service. The doctorate followed in 1977 .

From 1980 he worked as administrative director and personal assistant to the President of the State Parliament, Franz Heubl . In 1982 he became head of department at the Bavarian Administration School. Until 1989 he was a lecturer at the Bavarian Civil Service College and the Administrative College.

In March 1989 he became the successor to Josef Bestler , in the office of whose representatives he was from 1984 district administrator of the district of Aichach-Friedberg selected, which he assumed on July 1 of that year. During his tenure, the Wittelsbacher Land e. V. founded in order to be able to call up European funding from the LEADER program for rural areas on the one hand and to promote direct marketing of agriculture in the Aichach-Friedberg district on the other. His tenure was marked by challenges such as landfill and the construction of the waste treatment plant. Successor solutions were found for the cuts in the hospital landscape (closure of Aindling and Mering ). The Edith Stein School (support center) was built in Aichach during his tenure. On April 30, 2002, he resigned from his position.

Since his admission in July 2003 he worked as a lawyer. He was a partner in a law firm based in Aichach .

In September 2011 he was given the honorary title of "Altlandrat" by the district council of the Aichach-Friedberg district. The city of Friedberg granted him honorary citizenship in 2016.

On October 19, 2015, he received the papal cross of honor " Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice " from Pope Francis and from the hands of Diocesan Bishop Konrad Zdarsa

Körner was married and had a son. He died on August 31, 2018 at the age of 76.
