Josef Bestler

Josef Bestler (born May 13, 1925 in Deubach ; † March 1, 2018 ) was a German local politician ( CSU ).

Life

After graduating from high school and then studying law , Bestler entered the higher administrative service in the government of Upper Bavaria. As a member of the government, he was initially in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and was transferred to Aichach in 1957. Bestler was from 1962 district administrator of the Upper Bavarian district of Aichach . After the dissolution of the district as part of the regional reform in Bavaria and the associated reclassification into the administrative district of Swabia , he was district administrator of the newly formed district of Aichach-Friedberg from July 1, 1972 to June 30, 1989 . It was his endeavor and achievement that the two old districts of Aichach and Friedberg grew together into one unit. He spent his retirement in Aichach.
