Theodor Pauli
Theodor Pauli (born September 22, 1648 in Greifenhagen , † August 12, 1716 in Königsberg (Prussia) ) was a German legal scholar.
Life
The son of the mayor of Greifenhagen, Joachim Pauli, and his wife Anna Habersack attended the Kolberg high school in 1665 and later the Stargard high school. He started studying law at the University of Greifswald , which he continued in 1667 at the University of Frankfurt (Oder) . He then accompanied a young count on a journey that took him to Hamburg , Lübeck , the University of Wittenberg , the University of Leipzig and the University of Jena .
Returned to Frankfurt, he received his doctorate in law in 1672 and went to Königsberg University as an associate professor in 1673 . In 1677 he became a full professor at the law faculty and in 1682 the first professor of the same. In 1697 he became president at the criminal court and in 1703 tribunal and councilor at the appellate court. Pauli also took part in the organizational tasks of the university and was rector of the Alma Mater in 1681, 1683, 1687, 1691, 1695, 1699, 1703, 1707, 1711 and 1715 .
Pauli had married Christina Dreier on January 7, 1675. She was the daughter of the professor of theology Christian Dreier and his second wife Sophia, daughter of the chamber assessor Friedrich Lepner. Theodor Christian Pauli (born December 29, 1685) is known as the son of Theodor Pauli.
