Theodor Rössert

Theo Rössert , actually Theodor Rössert (* beginning of March 1916 in Bamberg ; † 28. March 2007 in Sonthofen ) was from 1970 to 1978 District Administrator of the rural district Oberallgäu .

biography

Rössert grew up in Munich. After graduating from high school, he served in the Wehrmacht and was wounded in 1941. Rössert began studying law during the war, initially in Berlin . After the university was destroyed in a bombing raid in World War II, he moved to the University of Erlangen . After graduating in 1948, he began working as an assessor in Sonthofen.

At first he was employed as a refugee commissioner , later as a lawyer in the Sonthofen district office . In 1970 he was elected to the district administrator of the Altlandkreis Sonthofen. During his tenure, the two old districts of Kempten (Allgäu) and Sonthofen were merged to form today's Oberallgäu district. After the regional reform , he held the post as the first district administrator in the new district until 1978.

Rössert was a member of the CSU .

He was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon and the golden ring of honor of the Oberallgäu district.
