Theodor Schroeder (politician)

Theodor Schroeder (born April 9, 1829 in Mülheim an der Möhne , † June 8, 1890 in Berlin ) was a German lawyer, member of the Reichstag and a politician of the Center Party .

Life

Schroeder studied law in Bonn and Königsberg . In 1847 he became a member of the Corps Guestphalia Bonn . He then worked as a trainee lawyer in Insterburg , Halberstadt , Naumburg and Paderborn . In 1854 he passed his exam as a court assessor and worked as a lawyer in the civil service until 1864. He was then admitted to the bar at the district court in Bytom from 1865 to 1873 . From 1873 he was a lawyer in Berlin . From 1879 he practiced in Breslau , where he was admitted to the Higher Regional Court. At times he also lived in Höxter . Finally, he acquired the Güchkröttendorf Castle near Weismain .

Schroeder was a member of the Center Party. Between 1871 and 1884 he was a member of the Reichstag as a member of the constituency of Arnsberg 8 ( Lippstadt - Brilon ). He was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1873 to 1882 . He represented the constituency of Lippstadt - Arnsberg - Brilon . In the context of his parliamentary work, he was particularly active as a speaker, speaker and rapporteur on legal issues. In the center group he played a leading role.
